Q: So, what's this site all about?
A: Ishtar Magazine Online is an online web magazine that publishes stories for adults in all genres.
Q: Why online?
A: Major publishers don't usually embrace the idea of 'Adult' fiction. And since we aren't made of money, the online route is the best way for us to bring content to our readers.
Q: Then what are you made of?
A: Hopes, dreams, creativity, caffeine, chocolate, and cake. One of our writers is approximately 20% - 40% cake by volume in fact.
Q: Fair enough. So, how often do you update the site?
A: Right now, we plan to update the paid content (that's the stories) once a month. The free content (reviews, how-to's, etc.) will be updated roughly every other week. Check back often though, and visit the forums for all the latest developments!
Q: Hey, I have a great idea for a story, could you write about ___?
A: Possibly. Our writers already have a lot of stories planned. There's even a chance that your great idea is already one of them. But since we can't compensate people for ideas, we ask that you realize if you put up an idea on the forums or send it to us in any fashion, it's ours to use or not use as we see fit. Sorry, but that's the rule we have to follow to protect our writers and their ideas as well.
Q: What else do you offer?
A: Like the Ishtar Logo? We have her on mugs, t-shirts, buttons... Just go to the Cafe Press Site. As the site evolves, we'll also be offering original works on Cafe Press, Lulu Press and through other media as well!
Q: Sounds great! Where/How do I sign up?
A: Want to subscribe? Just go to the sign-up page and click on the link. All of our subscriptions are handled securely through our site's forums.
Q: What if I have more questions that aren't answered here?
A: We'd recommend checking the forums first. We have a more in-depth FAQ there concerning policy, billing, and other issues. If you still can't find the answer to your question, feel free to drop us a line here through our Contact Us page. Keep in mind that currently, our staff consists of only a handful of people, all of whom write for Ishtar as well work other jobs. So, while we'll try to get to your question ASAP, there may be a delay simply because there are only so many hours in the day.
