Who We are
We here at Ishtar Magazine are a group of writers, artists, gamers, and other creative sorts working together in order to create an online magazine that encompasses a wide range of fiction, artwork, game reviews, movie reviews and more: all geared for the “adult” reader.
We are a talented group of individuals attempting to push the boundaries of online publishing and offer something unique and exclusive to the world of online readers. Our stories aren’t the same cliched fare that you'll find on other sites, and they aren't full of gratuitous sex and violence (though some stories do have both violence and sex). Instead, we’re appealing to those readers out there who want believable characters, complex plotlines, and original worlds where anything can (and does) happen.
We believe that the market in general has become too saturated with goods and services aimed for the pre-teen and teenaged market, leaving adults with watered-down, censored and in some cases, just plain boring entertainment options. We are adults, and we want to cater to other adults that enjoy a level of maturity, sophistication and creativity in their reading, while still having an appreciation for fun and new ideas.
Our Vision
To portray characters and worlds that others want to immerse themselves in as much as we do, be it through our writing, our art, or some other medium. To provide only the best in online fiction for those readers who have truly discerning tastes. To offer up new and exciting content month after month, and to give each of our readers a chance to be a part of our online community as we work to create quality original fiction.
Just because we’re all grown-ups doesn’t mean we’ve become boring. Nor do we think the term “Adult” should automatically be tossed into the porn bin. Here at Ishtar you will find stories that cover every genre, and characters that are believable and complex. If you are looking for a porn site, you’ve come to the wrong place. If you are looking for Adult Fiction, we hope you’ll give our writers and artists a chance to amaze you.
